Backstage pictures from Chanel Paris-Bombay Métiers d’Art Show

Chanel’s Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, Peter Philips created such a stunning look for the Chanel Paris-Bombay Métiers d’Art Show and the lovely ladies at Chanel have sent me the backstage pictures from the show for you to take a peek at, as well as info on all of the Chanel products he used to create the beautiful indian-inspired look!

Peter said he wanted to create an almond-shaped black kholed eye; a graphic interpretation of an iconic Indian beauty ideal that was something between mysterious and rock’n'roll. To create the eye he created a matte pitch black makeup result, using a new shade of Chanel Illusion d’Ombre called Nirvana. He then used Chanel Le Crayon Khôl in Black for the eyes and Chanel Mascara Inimitable Intense in Black on the lashes.

The models cheeks were made up with Chanel Joues Contraste in Brume d’Or and Peter chose Chanel Perfection Lumière for the base . Rouge Coco Shine in Empreinte was used for a natural dewy lip and golden highlights were added to the cheeks and the eyes with Route des Indes de CHANEL, a limited edition pallet specially created for this show.

Peter also created a new light golden shade of Chanel nail polish called Chanel Le Vernis – Diwali nail polish as homage to the famous “Festival of lights” that takes place in India for the Chanel Paris-Bombay Métiers d’Art Show. I haven’t got the pics of this yet, but will post as soon as I can!

I think this latest Chanel look is amazing, just so stunning and dramatic, but actually wearable for a night out! And I absolutely love the necklace/ head-pieces!
