Yesterday I showed you 3 Iris Apfel for MAC lipstick swatches, all three of which are absolutely gorgeous (but also all absolutely sold out!). While I didn’t manage to get my hands on the Party Parrot lippie I had my eye on, I did buy the Iris Apfel for MAC Oriele Orange nail lacquer.
The Iris Apfel for MAC Oriele Orange nail lacquer is much less orange and much more red than you’d guess from the MAC promo picture. It was ridiculously difficult to capture the true colour on camera though! MAC Oriele Orange nail lacquer is slightly, slightly more orange than it looks in the picture above.
My middle finger in the picture above is a pretty good representation of the true colour of Iris Apfel’s MAC Oriele Orange nail lacquer – it’s a bright coral red nail polish. The texture and consistency of this nail polish was amazing, just absolutely amazing! I only have two layers of nail polish on in these pictures and the finish is completely opaque, shiny and smooth!
While MAC Oriele Orange is a beautiful colour, it’s not really a particularly original colour and when you compare it with just how bright and amazing the Iris Apfel lipsticks are, it’s a little bit disappointing.
I am keeping MAC Oriele Orange nail lacquer though, I don’t have a good bright coral polish and the consistency of this one is so amazing that I just can’t give it away!
MAC Nail lacquers cost $26 in New Zealand and you can buy them from MAC shops, Smith & Caughey’s in Auckland and Kilkaldie & Staines in Wellington.
