Red Tuxedo manicure inspired by Zooey Deschanel’s Golden Globes nails

A few days ago I posted over on Pampered & Polished UK about Zooey Deschanel’s Tuxedo manicure that she wore to the Golden Globes.

I thought these were cute and looked pretty simple, so I decided to do try it out myself. I had on my Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi nail polish, so decided on a red tuxedo manicure and here are the results:

I made the bows a little bit more pointy than Zooey’s, they did end up a wee bit wonky, but I’m sure with a bit of practice they would be better!

I used my black Sally Hansen Nail Art pen to draw on the tips, buttons and bow ties – super easy!

If you do want to try a bit of nail art for yourself, I really do recommend the Sally Hansen Nail Art pens. Because they’re shaped like a normal felt-tip pen, it feels really natural, just drawing on your nails. You can get a finer results if you use a regular nail art brush, but they’re definitely trickier to use.
