essie’s Autumn nail polish collection is full of subtle, classy nail polish colours (so a wee bit of a departure for me to say the least!).
There are six new essie nail polishes in the essie Autumn collection, ranging from pale subtle pink to deep rich berry colours.
- essie Carry On – a rich mulberry merlot nail polish.
- essie Glamour Purse – described as an almond blush nail polish
- essie Case Study – a camel beige ‘greige’ nail polish
- essie Power Clutch – a dark grey nail polish with a green base
- essie Very Structured – creamy burnt sienna nail polish
- essie Lady Like – dusky rose pink nail polish
I’ve tried two of the essie Autumn collection nail polishes: essie Lady Like and essie Power Clutch, so here are the pics and my thoughts!
First up, essie Lady Like nail polish…
Lady Like is the perfect name for this pretty dusky pink nail polish, it’s a classy glossy creme polish with a subtle colour. The texture is great as well, I have just two coats of essie Dusky Pink nail polish on in the picture above and the finish was opaque and streak-free.
The colour isn’t my cup of tea to be honest, it’s too classic and too subtle, but I really can’t fault the finish, so if you like the colour, you’ll love essie Lady Like!
The next of the essie Autumn nail polish collection I tried was essie Power Clutch nail polish, a super-dark green-grey nail polish.
Like essie Lady Like nail polish, essie Power Clutch has perfect consistency and again I only had to use 2 coats to get a perfect, even, glossy opaque finish.
The colour of essie Power Clutch nail polish is a little bit more green than it looks in the picture above and again, this colour didn’t wow me. It was a little bit too murky and ‘concrete-y’ for my liking. In saying that, a couple of people told me they really loved the colour, so I guess it’s a personal taste thing!
essie nail polishes cost $24.50 and you can get them from selected pharmacies across New Zealand.
I also have essie Carry On nail polish to try and it looks absolutely gorgeous – a beautiful super dark berry colour, so I’ll post the results asap!
