It’s not often that I make it to the end of a beauty product, but a few months ago the lovely ladies over at Inika sent me the Inika Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation and I have used it every day since!
I realised, only now that I am nearing the end of my tube of the foundation, that I haven’t told you about it! And I really need to, because my skin has never looked better, even when I’m not wearing the foundation, so it’s obviously doing my skin some good!
Inika Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation applies easily and gives good coverage, but it’s not a full-coverage foundation – you can definitely see your own skin through the foundation, which I like, and it has quite a dewy finish. Not so dewy that I need a powder over the top however.
The foundation does have a tendency to separate in the tube, so you do need to give it a good shake before you use it and the feel of the foundation is a wee bit odd when you first put it on. It feels almost a bit sticky, but it blends really easily and almost instantly loses the slightly sticky feeling.
Here is the official information about Inika Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation (if you’re interested!), but the results have convinced me, not the ingredients.
The foundation is built on a base of certified organic Aloe Vera and to add the glow and youthfulness back into your complexion, is the hero ingredient Tamanu Oil – the secret to rejuvenated skin. Derived from the Tamanu Tree, this greeny gold oil is considered sacred in the Polynesian islands, and has been used on the skin for centuries because of its incredible rejuvenating capabilities.
Inika Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation is available in the following shades (I have the ‘Beige’ shade)
Inika Certified Organic Liquid Mineral Foundation costs $69.99 and you can buy Inika products from pharmacies and health food shops across New Zealand.
