Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream

It’s no secret that I love a good hand cream, in fact I always have a few on the go, just to make sure I always have one to hand (in my bag, on my desk, next to the sink…). When I was a teenager, one of my friend’s mum use to always tell us that the hands are the first to show your age and now that I’m edging closer towards autumn chicken rather than spring, I have to agree!

That’s why it’s so important to have a good hand cream and the one I’ve been using lately is absolutely gorgeous! Introducing Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream…

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream

The hero ingredient, Sea Buckthorn Oil, is extracted from the pulp and the kernel of sea buckthorn berries and they contain a whole host of antioxidants, fatty acids and flavanoids that nourish, regenerate and help protect the skin.

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream smells absolutely amazing! It has a super-fresh orange-ade frgrance, in fact the first time I used it the boyf even commented on how yummy it smelt.  The texture is rich and creamy without being greasy, which means it absorbs into your skin quickly, making it perfect for using in the office. You can rub a bit in and not have to wait for hours to make sure you don’t clog up your keyboard!

The only negative I have about Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream is that it doesn’t contain an SPF. Ideally I like my hand creams to have SPF to further protect against aging (and skin cancer as well of course!).

Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream costs $20.90 for a 50ml tube and you can buy Weleda products from health food stores and pharmacies nationwide. To find your nearest stockist or for more info you can pop over to the Weleda website

Weleda also do a  Weleda Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion, which I haven’t tried, but if it smells and works as well as the Weleda Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream I can’t wait to try it!
Another reason to love Weleda products is that they’re one of the world’s largest green beauty brands and are committed to all things natural, organic, eco-friendly, sustainable and fair trade. In fact they recently won the ‘Best Ethical Range’ award in the Natural Health magazine Beauty Awards 2012.
