Butter London Tea with the Queen nail polish review and swatches

Yesterday I showed you the pictures of the beautiful Butter London Jaffa nail polish I bought from NZ Sale and today I have the other nail polish I bought at the same time, Butter London Tea with the Queen nail polish…

Hmmm, so Butter London Jaffa was a beautiful bright lovely polish… Tea with the Queen is not!

Butter London Tea with the Queen is a pale caramel/ toffee coloured nail polish, that is just too close to looking like a really dirty peach colour to be nice.  Here are some pictures so you can decide for yourself, but the Pampered & Polished facebook fans gave it a big thumbs down when I posted a pic on Friday!

Tea with the Queen nail polish was also too similar to my skin tone, so left my hands looking really odd and washed out. It was also a wee bit thin in consistency, which meant that even after 3 fairly heavy handed coats of nail polish you can still totally see my nail line, which just doesn’t do it for me!

This second picture is of the nail polish in the shade, so you can see the colour in a different light (still no better for me I’m afraid!).

I’ve tried a few caramel/ taupe coloured nail polish that I’ve really liked, if you’d like to take a peek… OPI Did You ‘Ear About van Gogh nail polish from the OPI Holland nail polish collection and essie Brooch the Subject nail polish from the essie Winter nail polish collection.

  1. omg, I love this(: It’s so pure and simplistic. Would look great with nude coloured heels, black envelope clutch and a navy blue cocktail dress. Just saying :)
