My lovely auntie gave me a Mecca voucher for my birthday and I spent the remainder of it last weekend buying this beautiful wee Stila Custom Color Blush in self-adjusting pink.
I had been on the look out for a pink blush for a while and seeing as I had a few dollars left on my card I decided to have a browse in Mecca on Ponsonby Road (always dangerous!).
The Stila Custom Color Blush compacts are $42 each, which let’s be honest is probably just about the cheapest thing you’re going to find to buy at Mecca and they come in 2 different colours: self-adjusting pink blush and self-adjusting coral blush.
I chose the Stila Custom Color blush in self-adjusting pink. It looks fairly violent in the pan and it is a very bright pink, but the colour adjusts slightly by reacting to your skin’s pH to create a one-of-a-kind, customized shade.
The texture of the Stila Custom Color blush is gorgeous – smooth and velvety and it goes on so easily. You can layer up the colour if you want an instense pink finish, or blend a smaller amount of the blush to get a more natural result.
It has definitely become my go-to blush – it gives such a perfect rosy glow if you’re in a subtle mood, or you can go for quite a ‘fashion’ look by being a bit more heavy handed.
You can buy Stila Custom Color blush online at Mecca’s website for $42, but if you can make it in to the Ponsonby branch, it’s worth a visit, the customer service is fabulous and all of the people who work there who I’ve spoken to in the past have been super knowledgable and always make great suggestions, without doing a hard sell!
