Today I treated myself to some new Clinique Chubby Sticks – I was only going to get one, but they’re running an offer at the moment, where you can get 3 Clinique Chubby Sticks for $99 instead of $40 each… Admittedly $99 is a bit of an excessive amount to spend on lip gloss, but luckily for me I got a wee tax return this month, so had a little shopping spree this weekend!
Clinique Chubby sticks are moisturising lip balms with a bright pop of colour, quite similar to Revlon Lip Butters and there are 16 colours to choose from. I tested out the pinks and oranges, but there is also a range of browns/ neutrals and a couple of reds as well.
The Chubby Sticks have a lovely smooth, creamy texture and they are a oversize pencil shape, which makes them super easy to apply.
I chose 3 pink Clinique Chubby Sticks:
- Clinique Super Strawberry Chubby Stick
- Clinique Curvy Candy Chubby Stick
- Clinique Pudgy Peony Chubby Stick
The Super Strawberry Chubby Stick is one of the original colours – it’s a beautiful natural pink colour, perfect for everyday.
Curvy Candy Chubby Stick is exactly as the name suggests a pale candy pink lip balm – it’s the perfect level of pale pink for me. Sometimes I think candy pink colours can be too pale.
The last Clinique Chubby Stick I chose was Pudgy Peony – a beautiful bright fuchsia lip colour. I love it!
As you can tell, I loved the pinks in the Clinique Chubby Sticks collection, but they are pretty pricey at $40 each. I think the Revlon Lip Butters are a good alternative at $24.50 and they have a huge range of colours.
